Mozilla Firefox 3.0.2 Update

Mozilla Firefox, the famous open source and non profit web browser has been released with the aim to improve greater web browsing experience for end users. As part of the effort to continue improving the product quality and reliability, a new version of Firefox 3.0.2 update has been released on 23 September targeted to fix several software bugs with better security and enhancements.

Below are some bugs fixes that has been addressed with the new Firefox 3.0.2 release:
• Fixed security and stability bugs
• Official release to support Sinhala and Slovene languages
• Beta release to support Galician, Hindi, Icelandic, Kannada, Marathi, Telugu, and Thai languages.
• Fixed layout issue for certain web pages.
• Fixed theme issue that affected right-to-left locales.
• Fixed Back and Forward buttons missing caused by customized toolbars.
• Added Extended Validation (EV) roots.
• Prevented username and password details fill in on certain IDN sites.
• Fixed hangs and crashes issue caused by screen readers.
• Fixed Mac-specific problems like
i) Keyboard shortcuts not function.
ii) Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Indic characters not able to be entered in Flash object text field.
iii) Fixed Firefox 3.0.1 not functioning bug when user profile is kept on an AFP directory.

If you have Firefox browser installed in you PC, You should receive an auto update notification soon after this news was announced. Alternatively, you can initiate the upgrade by going to Help menu, then click on “Check for Updates”. Firefox 3.0.2 is compatible with any Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.
