ologo_wbackOpera Software has released the latest version of its Opera web browser 9.63. Opera 9.63 is an updated version from 9.62. The new version is a recommended security and stability upgrade. It also add opera config for close tabs by double clicking on them and changed on three existing features which include Mail, News and Chat.

Highlight changes and improvement in New Opera Browser 9.63:

User Interface:

  • Added opera:config>UserPrefs>DoubleclicktocloseTab for close tabs by double-clicking on them.

Mail, News, Chat:

  • Added a thread button in the mail toolbar.
  • Removed Label button from mail toolbar.
  • Reverted the Subject field back to its previous behavior where it is a text field and not a button.
  • Added shortcuts for follow (Ctrl/Cmd-D), ignore (Ctrl/Cmd-Shift-D) and go to thread (D).

Security:

  • Manipulating text input contents can allow execution of arbitrary code.
  • Long hostnames in file: URLs can cause execution of arbitrary code.
  • HTML parsing flaw can cause Opera to execute arbitrary code.
  • Script injection in feed preview can reveal contents of unrelated news feeds.
  • Fixed an issue that could reveal random data.
  • SVG images embedded using <img> tags can no longer execute Java or plugin content.
  • Built-in XSLT templates can allow cross-site scripting.
  • Opera now imports .p12 private certificates.

The new version of Opera 9.63 is available for download from Opera Offical Site, while existing user can alternatively use the Check For Updates option in the Help menu to download Opera 9.63.
