The Japanese company, JVC has recently introduced its new HDVC compact hard disk camcorder, named as JVC Everio GZ-HD3, as an updated version of GZ-HD7. Claimed by Japanese electronics giant, Sony, as the world’s smallest High-Definition digital camcorder, Handycam HDR-CX7, is now available in the market. Sony HDR-CX7 weighs 15 ounces with the supplied battery and it can record nearly three hours of full HD 1080 video on an 8-GB Memory Stick Pro Duo flash memory card. This handycam features ultra-portability and crash-proof recording system. It is equipped with a 6.1-megapixel complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) image sensor and a 5.4-54mm/F1.8-2.9 zoom lens.

New Sony SR8 and SR5C HD Handycams

Japan consumer electronics giant, Sony has announced a pair of upgrades to its HD-compatible camcorder lines. The Sony SR8 and SR5C HD capable handycams that look like an upgraded version of SR7 and SR5. The Sony HDR-SR8 shares the same features of 3.2-megapixel Clearvid CMOS sensor, 10X optical zoom, Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T lens and true optical image stabilization. On another side, a more direct upgrade is the new Sony HDR-SR5C model, increasing the on-board storage capacity on hard drive from 40 GB to a mighty 100GB so that you have no need to worry about the memory space.

Sony HDR-CX7 – First and Lightest HDTV Camcorder Utilizing Memory Sticks

Sony recently unveils a new HDTV camcorder that utilizes memory stick as recording media. The model, known as HDR-CX7 is capable of capturing 1080i High Definition video quality and stores it into the memory stick Pro media card.

Sanyo has introduced the world’s first waterproof digital camcorder, the Sanyo Xacti E1 that can submerged at depths up to 5 feet for no more than one hour at a time to capture 6 megepixel photoshots and MPEG4 video. JVC (Victor Company of Japan) has launched its new HD Everio GZ-HD7 recently. The latest Everio GZ-HD7 is the first consumer full High-Definition 3-CCD hard drive camcorder capable of shooting and recording full HD images (1920 x 1080i), according to JVC. Besides, this Everio equipped with an 60G hard drive which can store nearly five hours of full HD 1920 x 1080i recording at a high 30Mbps or seven hours for 1,440×1,080 video quality.
