The leader of imaging solutions, Canon has recently announced its new and first HD (High Definition) HDD (Hard Disk Drive) camcorder, named as HG10, the 40GB HDD camcorder that able to capture up to 5.5 hours of AVCHD video recording at its best quality setting. Besides, this small, handheld and ultra-compact camcorder will feature an 10X optical zoom len with SuperRange Optical Image Stabilization, an 2.7 inch widescreen multi-angle vivid LCD display, instant AF (Auto Focus) and the Canon’s proprietary DIGIC DV II Image Processor which aimed to enhance your video-recording experience.

With its Photo Grab function, the users also can grab 2.0 megapixel (1920 x 1080) photo shots directly from the HD video footage during playback. In addition, the Canon HG10 also can capture 3.1 megapixel photos to a miniSD memory card.

The new Canon HG10 HD Camcorder which weights only 19.92 ounces with the lithium battery inside will go on sale in coming October for $1299.
