SLA 2.0 Supported BIOSes for Instant Windows Vista OEM Activation

If you have read the previous articles that instruct you how to modify your BIOS to add in the required SLIC table in ACPI module in order to achieve OEM instant activation for Windows Vista without the need to activate online against Microsoft’s server, you should know that the alteration process is tedious, dangerous and not for novice. However, some good Samaritan hackers have modified the BIOS for many motherboards (mobos) from different motherboards brands and manufacturers to support SLP 2.0, and then release the BIOSes online for public free download. Here’s some of the collection of the modified BIOSes.

Warning: Alteration to BIOS may invalidate warranty, cause computer to unable to boot up or other irrecoverable effect. Do it at your own risk.

There’s plenty of ways to mod a BIOS to support OEM. All OEM BIOS below is modified to include SLIC table and Windows Marker that match Asus OEM ID and OEM Table ID unless specified otherwise.

    NF4ST-A9 flashed with the modified BIOS and it works fine, although you need to reinstall Vista (no big deal!)

    I downloaded all updates including the Ultimate Extras then applied the certificate and it activated.

    Update:

    Flashed: ASUS A7N8X Deluxe (PCB revision 2.0) – BIOS 1008 (Modified with 1GB RAM system, successfully activated) on my A7N system.

    Successfully activated…but like it says, must have 1GB. I had 1.25…and had to remove the additional 256 to make it work.

    Wonder if all the updated bios are set to specific ram configurations.

    I looked at the A8N SLI Premium (1009), ASUS update won’t let me flash. States “The EEPROM type incompatible”. I currently have version 1303. Any suggestions? Perhaps a downgrade issue?

    Have tried asus a8v-deluxe with no success, tried clean vista install also tried just changing the key and regestering oemcert, but still shows i need to activate. (any ideas?)

    I flashed BIOS with given patch succesfully.
    Did clean install Ultimate, next run – slmgr.vbs -ilc…
    and got answer: license has been succesfully installed. But system says: 30 days left for activation. So what I did wrong? Any ideas?

    How can i verify that the Flash worked without installing Vista?

    Under Everest/MotherBoard/ACPI nothing has changed after flashing the Bios
