   @EB, @ASUS A8N SLI Premium User’s again:

   Unfortunately replacing SRAT by SLIC may not work.
   I followed the guide
   http://www.mydigitallife.info/2007/02/18/improved-way-to-add-slic-slp-20-table-into-bios-acpi-to-activate-windows-vista-oem/
   and added SLIC.
   But please note, that you may complete Part 2, step 14 onward by yourself because that depends on your computer.

   Here’s the modified BIOS:

   Please anybody that tried it, let us know if at least flashing that works. If not, then I think the whole process of adding SLIC (instead of replacing another ACPI entry) must be reviewed.

    just thought i would point out that if you want the Asus A8V Deluxe bios (like me!!) then the file you have pointed to is no for the board. The link you supplied is for the Asus A8V – E – Deluxe.
    Can you confirm what you are looking for.

    I have A8N SLI Premium. You (and me) and others, have tried replacing SRAT (I´ve personally tried SSDT too) with SLIC but it doesn´t work. BIOS flashes OK, but when pc boots and lists components, at some point, black screen.

    Perhaps with this mobo, to replace it doesn’t work and it is necessary to add in SLIC. I’ve tried to follow the add in tutorial http://www.mydigitallife.info/2007/02/18/improved-way-to-add-slic-slp-20-table-into-bios-acpi-to-activate-windows-vista-oem/ but I don’t know how to do it.
    Can you try this other method (or other guys out there) please?

    Hey y’all,
    If there is any modified bios for A7V8X-LA or Kelut, I will be glad to get a link to it. Unfortunately modbin6 does “stack overflow” so i cant really do so unless there is a fix to it. I am using the latest BIOS of this available from the HP site which is 3.15. If I were to keep it at its earlier version it would’ve worked…

    I can’t believe I own a messed up mobo! :’(

    Vlite: http://nlite.boot-land.net/vlite/vLite-0.9.beta.installer.exe

    1- Extract Vista DVD to Folder

    2- Create PID.TXT open it, type Key “value=xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx”, save it.
    Copy to Sources dir on Folder you just create with Vista files.

    3- Copy your oem Certificate to: SOURCES\$OEM$\$$\SYSTEM32\OEM ( If you don’t have one create it).

    I haven’t try it yet, but deserves one.

    I’ve downloaded latest 1303 Beta and patched it again:

    Anyone know how to make a slipstream dvd of windows vista with oem certificate and serial key.

    That way all he have to do is boot pc from dvd and voila is instaled and activated.

    Tried 1303, same result…multi colored screen after logo. Seems the bios loads, not sure if my having 4GB memory has anything to do with it.

    Any advice?
