For majority of general public all around the world, the wait is finally over for Windows 7, as the official launch date of October 22nd, 2009 is finally here. Most of avid Windows 7 fans or enthusiasts, developers, school goers, corporate users and MSDN or Technet subscribers have already managed to download Windows 7 ISO images and generates genuine product key to activate installed Windows 7, but it’s from today that Windows 7, in box or digital download, will be shipped to mass consumers, pre-order customers, available in retail stores and factory-installed in new PC machines.

In addition to many Windows 7 Launch Events across US and privately hosted Windows 7 Launch Party across the world, Microsoft will also officially unveiled in a consumer launch event in New York City.

The Windows 7 official launch event will be hosted by Steve Ballmer, Chief Executive Officer of Microsoft Corporation together with Steven Sinofsky, President of Windows Division. The Windows 7 launch event will be streamed live from New York City on Thursday, Oct. 22 2009, at 8 a.m. PDT or 11:00 a.m. EDT.
