Still remember the WatchESPN sports streaming mobile app that recently launched for iOS devices? The well-known multimedia sports entertainment giant, ESPN, Inc. is expanding its free WatchESPN service to Android platform, which offers Time Warner Cable, Bright House Networks and Verizon FiOS TV subscribers easy live streaming access to ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN3.com shows right from their Android-powered devices while on the go – just as same as iOS version.

Key features of WatchESPN app:

  • Access top events from the ESPN family of networks, including NBA Regular Season and Playoffs, Major League Baseball, The Masters, U.S. Open and The Open Championship, College Football and Basketball, Barclay’s Premier League, Spanish Primera Division and Euro 2012 Soccer, and All 4 Grand Slam tennis events
  • Up-to-the-minute news, highlights and analysis available for your favorite ESPN shows, including SportsCenter, PTI, Mike & Mike, SportsNation and Baseball Tonight
  • Easily locate your favorite teams, shows and events thanks to the simple-to-use search functionality

Unlike iOS version, the company didn’t announced the version of WatchESPN optimized for Android tablet. Hopefully, we can see the optimized version for Android-powered tablet after the release of iPad optimized version.
