Ultra-Compact SanDisk Cruzer Blade USB Thumb Drive

The worldwide market leader for flash memory products, SanDisk Corporation has launched its new portable, ultra-compact SanDisk Cruzer Blade USB thumb drive, which the company claims as its smallest USB flash drive in North America. According to SanDisk, this incredibly tiny and lightweight Cruzer Blade USB drive is just about the size of a standard paper clip and weighs about the same as a penny.

“At half the size of some other USB drives, our compact Cruzer Blade provides consumers with highly portable storage at a great value,” commented Kent Perry, director for retail product marketing at SanDisk. “The drive lets users transfer their digital data quickly between computers, and delivers a storage boost to devices such as netbooks that often need additional memory but are difficult to upgrade easily.”

SanDisk Cruzer Blade USB thumb drive that available in 4 variants of memory capacity – 2GB, 4GB, 8GB and 16GB, are now available at SanDisk’s official site for $14.99, $21.99, $38.99 and $77.99, respectively.

  • I bought the 16GB blade for 29 US $ only here in our region.

and honestly, it doesn't worth it. the housing is very delicate, it doesn't have an LED light indicator and it is painfully slow, this one can only do half the speed of the Cruzer micro.

I thought mine was defective, but checking the reviews around showed that every body share the same slow speed problem.

  • The sandisk cruzer blade has been here for ages. Useless newsitem.

  • saw this with one of my friends'. Local price is about half of that posted here. Seems good, except that it doesn't have a cap.
