Remote Server Administration Tools for Windows 7 RC (Release Candidate) is a set of tools that allow IT administrators to manage a remote computer running Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2008, or Windows Sever 2003 from client computer running Windows 7 RC operating system. It’s part of the package for system admins that Microsoft updates for each major version of its Windows OS, which include downloads such as Windows Automated Installation Kit.

Remote Server Administration Tools (RSA) includes support for remote management of computers that are running either the Server Core or full installation options of Windows Server 2008 R2, and for some roles and features, Windows Server 2008. Some roles and features on Windows Server 2003 can be managed remotely by using Remote Server Administration Tools for Windows 7 RC, although the Server Core installation option is not available with the Windows Server 2003 operating system.

Features of Remote Server Administration Tools for Windows 7 RC is comparable in functionality to the Windows Server 2003 Administrative Tools Pack and Remote Server Administration Tools for Windows Vista with Service Pack 1 (SP1), which was meant for earlier version of client Windows operating system. Remote Server Administration Tools for Windows 7 RC, which is build 7100.0.090421-1700, is available in both 32-bit (x86) and 64-bit (x64) version, and will support Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise and Ultimate editions, and available for English, German, Japanese and Spanish languages.
