  • The flourescent coating in the White LEDs DO flouresce hence, they are flourescent. But they do not have the mercury vapor that's in the CCFL tubes hence, they are also RoHS compliant.

  • "Where can I buy one?"

    "When will it be available?"

  • Where can I buy one?

  • When will it be available?

  • Humm. I thought the LEDs used in these new monitors were using the new plastic that uses voltage variance to change the color. The plastic is also inexpensive to produce.

  • Actually, white LEDs are typically operating in a fluorescent mode (decay of light output in 10s of nanoseconds). While they are typically blue LEDs with yellow or green-red phosphors, the fluorescent tubes (CCFL) use similar phosphors.

  • Mistake in your review " Samsung P2370L LED monitor which includes LED fluorescent lamps" LED is NOT florescent
