Microsoft Office 2007 Service Pack 1 (SP1) has been released for free download. Office 2007 SP1 intends to improve the stability, performance and security when using products (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, FrontPage, OneNote, Outlook, Groove, InfoPath and Publisher) or suites of Office 2007 (i.e. Ultimate, Enterprise, Professional, Standard, Small Business, Home and Student, and Student). Other than latest updates and enhancements, the service pack also includes all of the updates released for the 2007 Office suite prior to December of 2007, normally delivered via Windows Update (with Microsoft Update opt in) or Automatic Update.

Office 2007 SP1 will also roll out and deliver via Windows Update, Microsoft Update and Automatic Update in the coming 3-6 months. The service pack for Office 2007 requires Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1, Windows Vista, Windows XP Service Pack 2 and Windows Server 2008 to work.
