LG Optimus Black With Ultra-Bright 4″ NOVA Display

LG Electronics has officially announced its new LG Optimus Black Android 2.2 Froyo mobile device, which the company claims as the world’s slimmest (9.2mm) smartphone equipped with a dramatically brighter 4-inch energy-saving NOVA display that offers 700 nits of brightness for optimal visibility under strong sunlight, weighting just 109 grams.



In addition, LG Optimus Black also adopts the world’s first Wi-Fi Direct technology for easy and quick data transfer between mobile devices, including a powerful 1500 mAh battery and the world’s first 2 megapixel front-facing camera.

“We are excited to introduce this stylish new Android smartphone and expect the LG Optimus Black to play a key role in the mobile market,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO for LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “LG Optimus Black reflects our core strengths of advanced technology, in both display and design, offering the world’s brightest screen and the world’s slimmest design in an attractive and smart package.”

LG Optimus Black that can be upgradeable to Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform is expected to be available worldwide in the first half of 2011.
