How to Spoof or Change Opera User Agent String

The flexibility is provided as a workaround for users to access websites which do not recognize or support Opera, and worse still, block access or prevent loading or web pages on Opera browser.

  1. In Opera browser, click on Tools -> Quick Preferences -> Edit Site Preferences.
  2. Go to Network tab.

  • "how to identify as Opera mini" .. dingbat.

  • Any idea to get this working in Opera 10.1? I guess the user setting in "Method 1" always overwrites the "Spoof User Agent ID" from "Method 2" This is bad news for a global UA setting, "Method 1" is website based only :-(
