The long awaited Google Earth (GE) for iPhone and iPod Touch application has been officially released by Google, as a freeware which can be downloaded and use free-of-charge. The mobile edition of Google Earth geographical software is made to fully utilize the iPhone’s big screen size and unique functionality.

Previously, iPhone and iPod Touch users rely on EarthScape, which costs $10 (unavoidable, now reduce price to zero – free too) to download and install, to fly around the world terrain and view landscape photos. The differences between awesome Google Earth Mobile Edition for iPhone and iPod Touch with EarthScape is that the Google version adds layers to the application, namely Panoramio and Wikipedia, for geo-located high-quality photos and informative articles respectively.
