Firefox 3 Easter Eggs
It’s hardly any easter eggs in Firefox, as the whole software is open source where everybody can see the source code. So it’s hardly surprising or refreshing if there is any easter eggs in Firefox as it would have been known easily by everybody who knows how to read the programming language code. Even so, there are indeed some easter eggs in Firefox 3.
To see the first easter egg in Firefox 3, click here or type about:Mozilla into the Address Location Bar.
You will see the following text in dark red background:
Mammon slept. And the beast reborn spread over the earth and its numbers grew legion. And they proclaimed the times and sacrificed crops unto the fire, with the cunning of foxes. And they built a new world in their own image as promised by the sacred words, and spoke of the beast with their children. Mammon awoke, and lo! it was naught but a follower.
from The Book of Mozilla, 11:9
(10th Edition)
Not surprising? Well, the similar easter egg exists in Firefox 2 too, so it’s guessable. How about trying to click here, or type about:robots into the Firefox 3 Location Bar? This easter egg is lesser known and will get you the following ‘theory’:
Welcome Humans!
We have come to visit you in peace and with goodwill!
- Robots may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
- Robots have seen things you people wouldn’t believe.
- Robots are Your Plastic Pal Who’s Fun To Be With.
- Robots have shiny metal posteriors which should not be bitten.
And they have a plan.

There is a button saying Try Again. Don’t be fool to click the button just to see Please do not press this button again.
