Easy Way to Activate Windows Home Server (Crack and Bypass Activation)
Windows Home Server is a home-based server operating system from Microsoft, where interested user can request for a free evaluation kit with installation DVD with 120 days activation free grace period to be delivered to user’s doorstep. To continue using Windows Home Server beyond 120 days free evaluation trial period, user will require to purchase a legitimate license, or try the following hack to crack and bypass the Windows Home Server activation requirement.
- Click on Start button.
- Click on Run.
- Type regedit into the Run text box and press Enter.
- Navigate to the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\WPAEvents
- Note: From this step onward, the cracking process must be performed as quickly as possible, as it hacks activation stuff and Windows may change back the setting if there is a delay of more than few seconds.
Locate a string value named OOBETimer.
- Right-click on OOBETimer, and click on Modify.
- Change the value to FF D5 71 D6 8B 6A 8D 6F D5 33 93 FD.
- Click on OK.
- Right-click on WPAEvents and select Permissions….
- Click on Advanced button.
- Uncheck the check box for Inherit from parent the permission entries that apply to child objects. Include these with entries explicitly defined here.
- Click on Apply.
- When prompted, click COPY.
- From there, highlight the SYSTEM line, and click Edit.
- Choose the Deny option to ban all users from accessing and editing the key.
- Click on OK.
- Reboot the computer.
After the hack, Windows Home Server should run completely as a free copy, with users able to access Windows Update to get latest hotfixes and patches. The crack does not require BIOS mod.
To verify that the activation crack works after restarting the system, go to Start -> All Programs -> Activate Windows. The dialog should say Windows is already activated. Alternatively, go to Start -> Run and type oobe/msoobe /a.
Note: Some users reported that the method does not actually remove the activation grace period, even though it makes the system activated.

it worked as mentioned above but after I put the date clock of my pc years forward to actual date the system mentions at login that evaluation period ended and pc shuts down automatically. So this trick didn't work out after all.
it did work for about a month or so now as soon as i try to log in to the server it pop up with message that say "this windows is not activate you have to activate this windows you can not log in until you activate this windows yes no cancel" if i say yes activation windows pop up and it's activated. if i say no it will log me off and put me back to log in screen…please help…thanks
this works, for a while.
after a month you get locked out and are asked to activate windows, when you click yes and ok, you get logged out! its useless!
I did try this about 90+ days ago, now my WHS is telling me an error message when I attempt to use the console or RDP:
its says that you need to activate WHS, when I go to activate – its says activated.
but now, i cannot access WHS at all.
So what do i do?

I got it to work.
two steps to it.
1. crack it with a available crack.
2. remove the days remaining activate warning.

hmm, i tried the wpa crack, advanced the clock got locked out, then done this hack, and it worked for me, maybe you need to do both hacks ?
also, i got the retail dvd, not the evaluation version, hope this helps someone
This worked for me, i tried another hack that didnt work, and had a situation where it says need to activate, you click activate and says already activated. used this hack, and im loged in again, how long it will last ? who knows, but it working for now, thank you sooo much

after 1 months u need to reinstall whs
I have tried this several times. At first, it worked. When my OS drive died I installed it on another and could not give it to give me the same results again. I think windows updates have something to do with it. I will try again without installing updates. Currently, it said it was activated but after 30 days, wont let me log on. I’ll update in 30 days on the new install WITHOUT updates.
