try sgd (supergrubdisk) "hybrid". boot from usb. can start windows.

sounds like you began installing, not just running, from livecd. then could be problem is grub2. but i think that's usually when older "legacy" grub is installed.

or you can do xp repair from xp cd. google bartPE. that may have something like that.

check ubcd or ubcd4win

Recently I booted my Windows XP 32bit box with Ubuntu 10 CD & it completely messes up my partitions. I can see my data from inside the Ubuntu but cannot boot XP. So please provide me a link where I can download “EASEUS Partition Master 5.5.1 Professional Edition (with Recovery and Disk/Partition/Volume Copy. I am in dire straits & need it desperately.

Thanks I was in a direst need of this. Dear guest9 & Joe better use the DepositFiles Download manager. I initially had problems with it but after using the deposit files download manager it became fine.

the link page takes forever to load then you click download and it loads another page that takes forever and nothing ever gets downloaded.

Installed on Windows 7 64 bit. The read me does say that it does support 64 bit.

If this is the professional version, it does have 64 bit support according to the Easeus compare editions web page. http://www.partition-tool.com/easeus-partition-ma…

If it does not support 64 bit, then it's a professional version that has 64 bit disabled.

For version 5.5.1 it says above that it is only 32 bit compatible. However, for the earlier free offer of 5.0.1 via My Digital Life, the description says that version was both 32 bit & 64 bit compatible. If both of these statements are correct, then the software would appear to have lost 64 bit compatibility when it went to ver. 5.5.1 (or is the lack of 64 bit compatibility only with Win 7, but it's compatible with Vista 64 bit? – seems unlikely…).
