Mozilla Firefox has released its Firefox 3.6 Beta 4 before the final release of Firefox 3.6 web browser. The latest Firefox 3.6 Beta 4 is targeted for users to preview, testing, evaluate and feedback. According to Mozilla community, the latest Firefox 3.6 Beta contains more than 100 fixes as compared to the previous versions.  Along with this release, there are about 70% of thousand Firefox Add-ons have been upgraded by their authors to make it compatible with the Firefox 3.6 Beta.

Firefox 3.6 Beta 4 is built on Mozilla’s Gecko 1.9.2 web rendering platform which has been improved for faster and more responsive as compared to previous versions.

Several new features are added to this new release:

  • Supports for the HTML5 File API.
  • A change to how third-party software integrates with Firefox to increase stability.
  • The ability to run scripts asynchronously to speed up page load times.
  • A mechanism to prevent incompatible software from crashing Firefox.
  • Users can now change their browser’s appearance with a single click, with built in support for Personas.
  • Firefox 3.6 will alert users about out of date plugins to keep them safe.
  • Open, native video can now be displayed full screen, and supports poster frames.
  • Supports for the WOFF font format.
  • Improved JavaScript performance, overall browser responsiveness and startup time.
  • Supports for new CSS, DOM and HTML5 web technologies.
