Garmin Dakota (10 and 20) Handheld GPS Navigation With 2.6″ Touchscreen Display

The global leader in satellite navigation, Garmin Ltd has announced its two new handheld GPS navigation device – Dakotas 10 and 20, which is waterproof, rugged and lightweight. The Garmin Dakota navigation handhelds are equipped with 850MB of internal memory which can store store up to 2,000 geocaches, 1,000 waypoints, 50 routes and an active GPS tracklog of up to 10,000 points and 200 saved tracks. In addition, the devices also come with 2.6-inch LCD color touchscreen display, support up to 20 hours battery life with two AA batteries, and high-sensitivity GPS receiver with HotFix. Furthermore, the new GPS navigation devices also come with preloaded worldwide basemap and compatible with Garmin City Navigator NT for turn-by-turn directions on city streets, Blue Chart g2 for marine charting, and TOPO U.S. 24K and 100K map software.

Magellan RoadMate 1475T Navigation With 4.7″ Touchscreen Display

Magellan has announced its new navigation device – RoadMate 1475T, which is an updated version of RoadMate 1470. The GPS navigation device come with 4.7-inch WQVGA anti-glare touchscreen display, OneTouch favorites menu, and includes NAVTEQ maps of the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. The Magellan RoadMate 1475t also equipped with VPAthat offers subscription free, real-time traffic alerts, incidents and road congestion reports. In addition, the Magellan RoadMate comes with searchable AAA TourBook listings that include restaurants, hotels, attractions, auto repair shops and other destinations. It also offers multi-destination routing with route optimization that lets users plan trips with multiple stops in the order they want or optimize a trip for the most efficient route.

Mio Explora K75 GPS Phone With Spirit GPS Navigation Software

The Mio Explora K75 will be the first smartphone from the company to include their new Spirit GPS navigation software. The phone will run on Windows Mobile 6.1, has Bluetooth, 3 megapixels camera and VGA CMOS secondary camera, and Office Mobile. In addition, the Explora K75 GPS phone works on 3.5G and quad-band GSM networks.

Sanyo’s New SSD In-Dash GPS

Sanyo has announced its new NVA-GS1609FT and NVA-GS1409DT in-dash multimedia GPS navigation which come with built-in 16GB and 8GB SSD for storage so that it can be more durable and faster than non-flash based storage. Both of them can play MP3, MWA, AAC files from SD cards. In addition, the NVA-GS1409DT can also record music to SD cards while the NVA-GS1609FT can read music from USB drive and supports iPod connectivity. Another interesting feature is the Eco Drive function that will instructs the driver on energy-saving driving techniques.
