Clarion Showcased Next Generation Mobile Internet Navigation Device in CES

The device is capable of connecting to internet using various wireless technologies such as WiFi, WiMAX or 3G cellular network while on the move. Lumus Introduced New Spectacles with Internet and Video Streaming on the Lens

Edimax Unveiled Wireless 802.11n USB Adapter with MIMO Technology

Edimax has just unveiled a new Wireless 802.11n USB adapter for consumer market. Known as EW-7718Un, it is complies with 802.11n draft 2.0 standard. As you all aware, 802.11n is capable to scale the transmission rate up to six times more than existing famous 802.11a/b/g wireless technology. Even though there are already many products with 802.11n compliance in the market, but its tiny and portable design has able to differentiate itself from others in this competitive environment. Normal 802.11n network routers are generally available in box or dongle type but Edimax has able to shrink it down to be exactly the size of an USB thumb drive.

Sony Unveiled TransferJet Near Field Communication Technology for Wireless World

Sony has just unveiled a new wireless technology for short distance communication and data transfer. Known as TransferJet, it is targeted for high speed data transfer for near field wireless technology. With the backbone technology supported by UWB (Ultra Wide Band), TransferJet enables even higher speed wireless transfer of up to 560 Mbps, as compared to existing Wireless USB at only 480 Mbps.

LG and Netflix Collaboration to Develop HD Set-Top Box for Media Streaming

LG is planning to develop a new set-top box that able to stream HD (High Definition) videos directly from the web, with the media contents provided by Netflix, the world’s largest online DVD rental company. Netflix has more than seven million subscribers with huge collection of 90,000 titles. They are looking for the way to further expand its business with collaboration from the famous Korean Consumer Electronics giant. The effort in getting a new set-top box with networking capability for online movie download seems to be a right move in this saturated market.

Marvell Unveils 802.11n Wireless Chip with Highest Throughput of 450Mbps
