Change and Set Different Input Method (Letter or Block Recognizer) as Windows Mobile Default After Soft Reset

Windows Mobile portable device has multiple type of input methods selectable to type and write text and numbers on screen. By default, Windows Mobile has some built-in input methods such as Keyboard, Block Recognizer and Letter Recognizer. Keyboard is the default input method on most installation of Windows Mobile 2003, 5 or 6.x, which means whenever user soft-reset or restart the mobile phone, the input method will be reset to use Keyboard again.

Disable SMS Text Message Threading or Conversation Mode in Windows Mobile 6.1

Windows Mobile 6.1 has SMS (text message) threading feature, which commonly known as conversation thread mode made famous by Gmail. Enable or Disable the SMS (Text Message) Sent Notification Bubble

In Windows Mobile based Pocket PC (PPC) Phone mobile device, after user sending a SMS or text message, there will be a “Message Sent” notification message pops up in bubble style which must be clicked on “Show” (after the message is hidden and collapsed into softkeys bar if user takes no action for a while) and then “Dismiss” to discard and make the message disappear manually.

Change Soft Keys (Shortcuts) on Windows Mobile Today or Home Screen

Soft keys (or softkeys) is a shortcut to display menus and commands when corresponding hardware buttons on Windows Mobile powered devices are pressed, while the soft keys together with its menu or command names are located and displayed on the soft key bar at the bottom of the screen. In modern touchscreen WM devices, softkeys on the screen can be pressed and triggered directly by tapping on LCD without actually pressing any hardware button.
