We have been seeing quite a few Asus Eee PCs powered by Intel Atom processor, now the famous Taiwanese PC maker has added a new model that intends to boost a slightly better display quality as compared to its predecessors. Named as Asus 1005HR, it will be equipped with a relatively higher resolution at 1366 X 768 pixels as compared to typical specifications limited at 1024 X 600 pixels by its siblings.

Being powered by an Intel Atom N280 processor running at 1.66GHz and backed up by 1GB of memory RAM, the machine is more than sufficient to run normal office applications as well as web surfing activities. With its internal graphics core GMA950, it is possible to decode HD (High Definition) media contents up to 720p and display them well in a 10-inch LCD display at slightly better resolutions for greater visual experience. Besides, a 250GB hard disk drive is good enough with upgradable option whenever there is a need. Some other specifications include 802.11n Wi-Fi module, built-in web camera, Bluetooth and normal Ethernet port as well as USB 2.0 host ports.

No pricing availability yet, the new machine will be preloaded with Windows 7 Starter Edition ready for Japan market and we should expect it to reach other geography areas in short future.
