Panasonic Lumix G10 Micro Four Thirds Digital Camera

In addition to LUMIX DMC-G2, Panasonic has also announced its new compact LUMIX G10, which the company claims as the world’s lightest digital interchangeable lens system camera equipped with a viewfinder, recording 720p HD video in Motion JPEG format at 30 frames per second.

• 4/3-type 12.1-megapixel Live MOS sensor and new Venus Engine HD II
• Records 720p (1280 x 720) HD movie in Motion JPEG at 30fps
• Panasonic’s iA (Intelligent Auto) and My Color mode
• Wide range of AF (Auto Focus) modes – AF Tracking, 1-area AF, Face Detection AF/AE and 23-area AF
• Full-time Live View with both LCD display and the Live View finder
• 26 scene modes including Peripheral Defocus mode that allows users capture a photo where the foreground is in focus and background is blurred
• Exposure meter can be displayed in the P/A/S/M shooting modes
• Highly-efficient Dust Reduction System to repel dust and other particles
• Dimensions: 124 x 83.6 x 74 mm ; Weight: 336 grams (body only)
• Available in black color only

Panasonic LUMIX G10 that compatible with Micro Four Thirds System lenses will come with the newly announced LUMIX G VARIO 14-42mm/F3.5-5.6 ASPH/MEGA O.I.S. lens as part of its kit.

Update: Panasonic LUMIX G10 is scheduled to hit the market in coming May 2010 for a suggested retail price of $599.95.
