2.6mm – New Record For The World’s Thinnest LCD Panel
If Samsung’s LED backlit 3.9-mm LCD is not slim enough, perhaps the new 2.6mm LCD panel from LG can catch your eyes. The Korea electronic giant today announced a new 42-inch 1080p panel which is just about 2.6mm thin. The world’s “slimmest” and “thinnest” LCD TV panel from LG manages to break the 3mm barrier and it is less than half of the thickness of its 5.9-mm LCD panel released early this year.

Holding the new record as the world’s thinnest LCDs, the 42-inch LCD panel weights less than 4kg and offers 120Hz refresh rate technology with full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution for clear and sharp image. Light in weight, heavy in performance makes this new LCD panel ideal for wall mounted TVs. Slim body lovers who like this world’s thinnest LCD panel can find out more in the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2010 in Las Vegas. LG will showcase this unique display panel during CES.
