New Samsung 2TB STORY Station Plus External Hard Drive With eSATA Interface
Samsung has announced the launch of its new family of 3.5-inch external hard drive – Samsung STORY Station Plus (upgraded model to STORY Station), which features an external serial ATA (eSATA) interface to deliver fast data transfer rates up to 3-gigabit per second (3 Gb/s), encased in an aluminum outer casing that contributes to effective heat dispersion, providing users a high-performance external storage solution.

“Samsung new line of high-density solutions with the eSATA interface give users the speed they need for demanding tasks like photo and video editing, plus safely storing multimedia content libraries,” commented H.S. Lee, vice president for storage marketing at Samsung Electronics. “The 2TB density STORY Station Plus drive can store the data equivalent of 500,000 MP3 music files, 560,000 digital photo images, or 880 hours of high resolution video.”

The new STORY Station Plus that sports Samsung’s low standby power design to reduce the standby power by 96% to 0.1 watts (from conventional 2.5W) will feature Samsung Auto Backup, SecretZone software and SafetyKey.
Samsung’s 3.5-inch STORY Station Plus that available in densities ranging from 1TB to 2TB will hit the market later this month for a MSRP of $299 (2TB model).
