Samsung Convoy With Push to Talk Capabilities
Verizon has announced a new handset from Samsung which called as Samsung Convoy. Samsung Convoy is being designed to meet the US military 810F standard for resistance to dust, shock, vibration, salt, fog, humidity and temperature extremes. The rugged phone is equipped with Push to Talk capabilities that leverage Verizon Wireless Evolution-Data Optimized (EV-DO) Revision A 3G network for fast two-ways Push-to-Talk functionality.
The Samsung Convoy is featured with a 2.0-megapixel digital camera with Night Shot, panorama and color effects functionality. It also equipped with a high-quality stereo speaker, integrated with Verizon Wireless VZ Navigator for turn-by-turn directions to more than 15 million point of interest and shares the directions with others.
In addition, it is Bluetooth enabled, comes with 1300 mAh battery and personal organizer with calendar, currency converter, notepad, alarm clock and etc
The Samsung Convoy mobile phone is expected to be available by 15 November and is priced at $49.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement.
