DROID ERIS By HTC Hits Verizon Stores For Around $100
HTC and Verizon Wireless have announced an upcoming launch of DROID ERIS by HTC (a.k.a HTC Hero), which incorporates Android 1.5 OS, HTC Sense UI, and innovative ‘Scenes’ feature that allows users to create multiple home screens – each with different widgets and shortcuts, delivering an individualized mobile experience to suit everybody needs.

Key Features Of DROID ERIS by HTC:
- 528 MHz Qualcomm MSM7200A processor and 5 megapixel color camera with auto focus
- 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display (320 x 480 HVGA resolution) and trackball interface
- Built-in GPS and a digital compass with G-sensor
- Bluetooth, Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11 b/g and standard 3.5 mm headset connectivity
- Full HTML browser with Flash Lite capabilities
- Smart dialer for simplified dialing by name, number or initials
- Pre-installed 8 GB microSD memory card, supporting up to 16GB
- Access text messages, e-mails, phone calls, Flickr streams and Facebook updates from a single contact card
- Compatible with a wide variety of Google services including Google Maps, Gmail and Google Search
DROID ERIS by HTC Android phone that measures 4.45 x 2.19 x 0.51 inches and weighs in at 4.23 ounces is scheduled to be available in Verizon Wireless Communications Stores and online at www.verizonwireless.com beginning November 6 for $99.99, after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new 2-year service contract.

i’m a current verizon customer who would like to purchase a droid eris. however, i’m not interested in paying verizon’s hefty service fees. how do i unlock the eris and have it work with my mobile phone #?
