Sprint Debuts Dell Inspiron Mini 10 Netbook For $200 (2-Year Contract)

Sprint has debuted the first netbook available on America’s most dependable 3G network – Dell Inspiron Mini 10, which offers affordable, ultra-mobile and blazing-fast Internet access in a convenient, extremely portable package, aiming to enhance your computing experience.

According to Sprint, the Dell Inspiron Mini 10 features embedded EV-DO Rev. A wireless service to give Sprint customers an expected average upload speeds of 350-500 kbps and download speeds of between 600 kbps and 1.4 mbps. Peak download data rates increase to 3.1 Mbps (from 2.4 Mbps), while peak upload data rates increase to 1.8 Mbps (from 153 kbps), enabling customers to easily take advantage of robust Internet applications and services like wireless VoIP, high-speed video telephone, music on-demand as well as video messaging.

“Dell Inspiron Mini 10 is a fun way to easily access the speeds of Sprint’s network to catch-up on email, surf the Web and more,” said Kevin Packingham, senior vice president for Product Development at Sprint. “We are excited to add this great Dell product to our industry-leading portfolio of devices available from Sprint that work on America’s most dependable 3G network. It offers an affordable way to stay in touch and stay connected.”

In addition, Dell Inspiron Mini 10 is equipped with 10.1″ LED WSGVA (1024 x 600 pixels) screen, Intel Atom Processor Z520, 1GB DDR2 SDRAM, 160GB HDD, Intel 500 Media Accelerator Graphics, 5-in-1 media card reader, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11g, 1.3 megapixel webcam, microphone, 3 USB ports and HDMI outlet, based on Microsoft Windows Home XP SP3 Edition OS.

The sleek, lightweight Dell Inspiron Mini 10 netbook which measures 10.3 (L) x 7.2 (W) x 1.1 inches (D) and weighs only 2.6 pounds is now available at select Sprint Stores throughout the Twin Cities for $199.99, after $100 mail-in rebate with activation on Sprint’s Mobile Broadband Connection Plan that offers 5GB of data for $59.99/month (2-year service contract).
