Sony S-Frame DPP-F700 Digital Photo Frame Cum Printer Offers Instant Printing
Displaying interesting and intriguing photos in your living room or office can arrest people’s attention and at the same time show off your photography skills. It would be even nicer if your digital photo frame could print out the photos instantly to your admirers so that you can get your signature on them. Sony has rolled out its new stylish multitasking S-Frame digital photo frame with printer, coded DPP-F700. Similar to imo Monitor’s iMo Foto Frame Printer which has been introduced earlier, Sony’s DPP-F700 plays dual roles: displaying digital photos and offering instant prints.
Sony’s DPP-F700 digital photo frame cum printer features a 7-inch LCD display with a WVGA (800 x 480) resolution, slightly smaller compared to iMo Foto Frame Printer which offers an 8” LCD screen with WVGA (800 x 600) pixel resolution. Both Sony DPP-F700 and iMo Foto Frame Printer offer a quick 4 x 6 inch professional quality 300 x 300 dpi photo printing within seconds. The Sony DPP-F700 photo frame cum printer comes with 1GB internal storage capacity and features auto-resizing adjustment function to downsize users’ photo and allow them to store up to 2,000 photos. Users can transfer or upload photos directly from the computer to this gadget via USB cable or alternately, via the multicard reader which supports most of the memory cards, e.g. Memory Stick PRO, Memory Stick PRO Duo, Secure Digital (SD), SDHC, Multi-Media Card (MMC), Compact Flash, and xD-Picture Card media.
The sleek frame printer offers a wide range of view and print modes besides a handful of tools for image editing: reducing/enlarging photo size, cropping image, turning date stamp on/off, producing border/borderless single prints, and adjusting brightness, contrast, hue, and sharpness. Sony DPP-F700 supports JPEG, TIFF, and BMP image file formats and include an Auto Orientation sensor which can automatically rotate users’ photo into portrait or landscape format. For a mere $200 (cheaper, again, compared to iMo Foto Frame Printer), photo enthusiasts can get this digital photo frame cum printer and enjoy the instant printing solution while displaying their memorable photos.
