Sprint To Debut Samsung Moment (M900) Android Phone From November 1
Samsung Telecommunications America and Sprint have announced the launch of Samsung Moment (M900), the smartphone which integrates the open, innovative Android platform with the high-speed connectivity of America’s most dependable 3G network (EVDO Rev. A.), featuring a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, optical trackpad and brilliant 3.2″ AMOLED touch screen, powered by a powerful 800MHz processor.

“Sprint is thrilled to add the powerful and sophisticated Samsung Moment to our growing portfolio of Android devices,” said Kevin Packingham, senior vice president for product development at Sprint. “This is the second Android product that will be available from Sprint this holiday season. With a full QWERTY keyboard, Samsung Moment allows customers to easily access the thousands of applications available in the Android Market. The excitement around Android products confirms Sprint’s decision several years ago to be a charter member of the Open Handset Alliance and lead the Open revolution.”

The new Samsung Moment which measures 4.6 x 2.34 x 0.63 inches and weighs just 5.7 oz is slated to hit Sprint stores starting November 1 for $179.99, after a $50 instant savings, a $100 mail-in-rebate and a 2-year contract.

I love my Moment but, I want a darn driver for my PC …….they should have these things well before realease date so we can prepare for it….I so think android is the new wave of the future but not if they are incompatiable with everything else…. come on guys get with it…!!!

my name is Judy, and I plan to exchange my Hero for the Moment as soon as Best Buy gets it in (I have already talked to them about doing that) precisely because the Moment does have the landscape slider. Don’t you just love having choices? I want to stay with Sprint and Android, so I couldn’t be happier that Sprint is committed to providing choices for everyone.
