HATE this device. HATE IT. It malfunctioned in New York city, RIGHT AFTER I BOUGHT IT, telling me to turn right when I was going in exactly the right direction to get to the tunnel. SPent one HOUR getting back to where I was. What a TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY. Had to send the damned thing back to TomTom and it still doesn’t work right. Periodically loses sound, for no reason. Tomtom will merely send me ANOTHER refurbished machine. What a waste of $250!!! Buy a GARVIN NUVI and get something good for your $$.

I’ve bought one of these but have taken a rapid dislike to it.
I expected to be able to search on UK Postcodes as it came out of the box. You can’t. I’m waiting for a software update in a few weeks time.
It’s over-simplified to the point where basic functions are not provided. You cannot see where points of interest are located on the driving screen. What’s the use of that?
Ugh hate it!

I would love to have the TomTom Start in-car GPS device. It seems to be an easy-to-operate gadget…
