AMD ATI Radeon HD5800 Graphics Card with Six DisplayPorts for Gaming Segment

How many LCD display ports that your computer system can support? Typically, a system with two dedicated display output is common but have you ever think of having six display outputs simultaneously? The use cases may be rare but with the increase demand of higher resolution display capability especially in gaming segment, AMD has announced a next generation discrete graphics card to cater for the needs. Codenamed as Eyefinity, it is an ATI based Radeon HD 5800 series graphics card that support six DisplayPort video interface, outputting a maximum resolution up to 7680X3200 pixels.

It may be hard to imagine how these pixels represent and to simplify those, it is almost equivalent to a system that is capable in supporting up to 12 full HD (High Definition) 1080p display LCD thanks to its powerful DirectX 11 capable processor coupled with high bandwidth DisplayPort video outputs with ability to render complex virtual environment for vivid and full saturated colors on huge display panel.

No pricing availability yet, the Radeon HD 5800 series (HD5870 and 5850 to be specific) will be officially released by end of this month. In conjunction with the announcement, Samsung is also planning to come out with a stack-able LCD panel that can be easily arranged to expand the total panel resolution suitable for various applications.
