Sony BDP-N460 Networked Blu-Ray Disc Player Streams Internet Video From Netflix, YouTube, Slacker And BRAVIA Internet Video Platform
The Japanese consumer electronics giant, Sony has announced the availability of its new Sony BDP-N460 networked Blu-ray Disc player, which able to offer full HD 1080/60p and 24p True Cinema output and instantly streams premium and free on-demand entertainment from Netflix (via an upgrade later this fall), YouTube, Slacker and BRAVIA Internet Video platform.

- Integrated software specially designed for use with the Linksys by Cisco Wireless-N Ethernet Bridge with Dual-Band
- Cross search function make finding Internet content on the BRAVIA Internet Video platform easier
- Sony’s Precision Cinema HD Upscale technology converts SD signals (480i) to near HD quality
- Supports stabilization of warped or scratched Blu-ray Discs and DVDs during playback
- Ability to decode latest advanced audio codecs including 7.1 channel Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD High Resolution Audio and DTS-HD Master Audio
- Output 7.1 channel L-PCM via HDMI after decoding
- Supports Deep Color video output and x.v.Color (xvYCC) technology
- External USB port for local storage so users can add a flash storage device required for BD-LIVE content

The new BD-LIVE capable Sony BDP-N460 networked Blu-ray Disc player that compatible with a variety of video formats, including BD-R/RE (BDMV and BDAV modes), AVCHD, DVD+R/+RW, DVD-R/-RW, CD, CD-R/RW (CD-DA format), and JPEG on BD/DVD/CD recordable media will be available at Sony Style stores, www.sonystyle.com and authorized retailers nationwide starting October 2009 for around $250.
