A newer build version of Microsoft Office 2010 has been compiled and leaked to Internet. The new build has the wording of “BETA” printed on Office applications such as Word 2010, Excel 2010, PowerPoint 2010, Outlook 2010, OneNote 2010, SharePoint 2010, Project 2010, Visio 2010 and Publisher 2010 on “About” dialog and Start Menu, although it’s still a “Technical Preview” in splash screen. Thus it is probably a newer development milestone (may be Beta 1) past Office 2010 Technical Preview, where had also leaked for download.

Both the 32-bit and the 64-bit flavors of Office 2010 Build 4417 have been leaked and are now up for grabs via HTTP direct download or BT (BitTorrent) torrent download. Actually, the screenshots of Office 2010 Beta release version 14.0.4417.1000 has been published on WZor.net website days ago, but the setup installation files have just been leaked.
The leaked Microsoft Office 2010 Beta 1 Build 14.0.4417.1000 is the “Mondo” build, which is the equivalent of the “Ultimate” SKU of Office 2010, and includes other separate Office applications such as Visio 2010, Project 2010 and Publisher 2010. The last leaked version of Office 2010 Mondo Build 14.0.4302.1000 brought various issues and problems to the installed system, and was not able to be uninstalled and removed easily. The new build of Office 2010 Mondo is now able to uninstalled properly.
The new build of Office 2010 Beta version 14.0.4417.1000 has a new Microsoft Office Upload Center which can be used to upload and manage Office documents uploaded, stored and shared on web servers or online, probably in Live Mesh or Office Web Applications and Office Live Workspaces. Also featured in the new build is updated Back-Stage and new application icons. As the leaked build of Office 2010 Mondo Ultimate 14.0.4417.0 is of volume licensing (VL) edition, it’s subjected to new Office 2010 activation system. However, user can extend free usage period to 180 days (6 months) by rearming Office 2010.

I had installed MSOffice 2010 Mondo 14.0.4417.1000, and was working well all these days ans now it is asking Product key similar to the comment No:18 made by Orlando.
I had downloaded the Product key exe and could retrieve the Key of the installed version. But on providing that key though looks to accept but whenever the new document is opened, it is demanding the Product key again and says only 5 days left.
Please help.

I’m running MSOffice 2010 Mondo 14.00.4417.1000 without an issue. Now hes asking me to activate becouse I have just 4 days left. Can anyone give a activation key that works properly. Thx

I struggled to uninstall mine too. the workaround was to reinstall the full package not leaving anything out. the uninstall worked perfectly after that.

Is there some way to uninstall this piece of crap beta version of Office 2010? I keep getting an error message about the language. The pic above didn’t work.

not of the above worked for me. however, log file told me:
“Catalyst beta product conflict check failed. Office Beta product conflict is detected on the computer, productcode={10140000-0010-0409-0000-0000000FF1CE}”
so i went and searched {10140000-0010-0409-0000-0000000FF1CE} and found it in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Delivery\SourceEngine\Downloads\
then i deleted all a-like keys and fixed the issue.

By the way, the error which comes up with “The language of this installation package is not supported by this system” what does it mean?
My system language is English and so is the Office 2010 i installed.

There seems to be more bugs in the 4417 version that the 4301 version. I seem to have to close office and re-open 4-5 times a day. I get a white screen, and as I hover, it will start to re-appear but I keep getting that “dung” sound in the background. Either way, some of the new features are kewl.

Hi, I am asking a very silly question as am not a professional geek. I am trying to install this build on my PC, which has Office 2007 enterprise version installed. I had tried to install 1st build of office 2010, but it failed, now i’ve d/l this build and trying to install but it’s giving the following error

SOLUTION FOR UNINSTALL ISSUE:
If you double-click on the uninstaller in the control panel window, and receive an error message telling you to run setup again from the source, do the following:
1. While the error window is open, launch task manager
2. locate the setup.exe file, right click, and select “Open File Location” — this will take you to the local installation folder
3. Close the error dialog box and simply copy your installation files from your CD or other folder into this one, replacing any files
4. Re-run the uninstaller from the control panel
Voila! Uninstallation proceeds as expected.

can’t rearm this since it does not have that executable file any longer. Seems they have removed the rearming or changed the way to rearm it
