Windows 7 ISO Downloads and Product Keys Live in MSDN TechNet

The final RTM build of Windows 7 is now available for subscribers’ free download at MSDN (Microsoft Developer Network) and TechNet Plus, meet the original schedule of August 6, 2009. All editions of Windows 7 is available, including Windows 7 Ultimate, Windows 7 Enterprise, Windows 7 Professional, Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Home Basic and Windows 7 Starter, with the last two available in 32-bit (x86) flavors only, while all the rest has both 32-bit (x86) and 64-bit (x64) versions. The free genuine and legitimate product keys for Windows 7 retail version can also be generated.

Windows 7 RTM had been signed off as build 7600.16385. In fact, the Windows 7 Ultimate x86 and x64 (32-bit and 64-bit) DVD (English) ISO images have been leaked days earlier, together with Windows 7 Ultimate x86 and x64 (32-bit and 64-bit) OEM DVD (English) ISO images. With the release of official Windows 7 ISOs’ SHA1 and ISO/CRC checksum values posted on MSDN and TechNet websites, the leaked Windows 7 RTM ISOs have been proven to be original untouched and unmodified versions, as the ISOs are having the same hash values (generated by any hash calculators) despite having the different names.

Currently, only English version of Windows 7 DVD ISO images are made available, together with all Windows 7 x86 and x64 (32-bit and 64-bit) language packs. Below is the ISO details for various editions of Windows 7 posted on TechNet or MSDN.

Tip: If you’re looking for Windows 7 Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium or Professional, just download the Windows 7 Ultimate ISO, and then modify ei.cfg to install another edition of Windows 7.

The rest of language versions will be available by October 1st or earlier, and Volume License customers with an existing Software Assurance license will be able to download Windows 7 RTM in English via the Volume License Service Center on August 7, 2009, as detailed in Windows 7 RTM release schedule. General public and retail customers will see Windows 7 in stores and packaged into new computer on October 22nd, 2009, the general availability date of Windows 7.
