HP Photosmart Premium: World’s First Touchsmart Web-Connected Printer
The world’s largest technology company, HP has announced its new photosmart series printer- HP Photosmart Premium, which feature a Web-connected 4.3-inch touch LCD display on the front of the printer. The 4.3-inch TouchSmart panel printer can connect wireless to the Web and access apps for direct-from-Web printing without PC. Users are able to browse web and simply touch the application to print maps, coupons, movie tickets and more from their favorite web sites including USA TODAY, Google, Fandango and Coupons.com in an easy-to-read format.

In addition, the printer come with an open API to encourage developers to create content and preloaded with links to web services like Snapfish, Fandango or Google. The HP Photosmart Premium also comes with a full range of wired and wireless connectivity options including WiFi and Bluetooth. The printer will support fax, copy, scan, and duplex printer, producing laser-quality text documents and lab-quality photos.
Furthermore, the HP Photosmart Premium is an Energy Star qualified printer which can helps users save paper with automatic two-sided printing and reduces packaging waste.
The web-based printer will be available in United States starting from Fall 2009 with the retailer price of $399.
