Power Chat is not concerned at all with the “safety or content of chatters” as they claim. I downloaded this application and met some really nice people however, I had made a joke on their chat so I was given a three day ban. Which ok fine I understand the joke was a little borderline. But I complained to them because I was banned for three days for a simple joke not aimed at anyone except myself and that another chatter, then went by the name ReptheWest818, wasn’t even reprimanded at all for sending me unsolicitated hate “chat mail.” Since I had complained about this unfair treatment all Power Chat did was simply extend my ban from a temporary three days to permenantly. I guess it is more acceptable for Power Chat to allow users who spew and target other chatters with pure hate speech than allow users who make jokes about themselves!? This app is by far the most adolescent manifestation of intelligence when it comes to comprehending just how it is that they are “concerned” for chatters. I guess the creators and moderators of this chat service feel it is completely acceptable for ignorant teenagers to launch hate speech at someone simply because of their sexual orientation. Mind you I only chatted in the “Same Sex” chat room and never spoke directly to, at, or about “ReptheWest818.” this chat room app is still infantile when it comes to restricting wrongful chatters or they prefer to simply sweep issues under the rug. I have to say I enjoyed the chat room and the service until Power Chat seemed to clarify their stance on chatter offenses. Apparently a gay person who makes a joke about himself is more offensive than a straight person sending pure hate speech to random people based only on their sexuality or simple presence in a gay chat room. I guess Power Chat is a great place for you to go and release your inner rage, slander, and bigotry but not a haven at all for people who just chat and make simple jokes. I am greatly insulted and disappointed in the people who run Power Chat. I hope that they get to experience bigotry and get permenantly banned from something for simply being who they are. I recommend anyone who downloads this application to never send them any NEGATIVE feedback because they don’t want to hear it! You’ll only end up banned! Otherwise enkoying chatting and having to ignore the random people who want to verbally attack you.
