I learned about the -nomerge argument at httpwatch.com [1], and found your article while I was trying to discover whether there are more command-line arguments for IE8. This MS IE 8 technique using “-nomerge” appears to work for individual Gmail accounts, but does not work for Gmail accounts attached to a user's domain using Google Apps for Your Domain.
