The leaked x64 Windows 7 Build 7048 appears to have the same build number with the Windows 7 Build 7048 screenshots leaked previously, which is version 6.1.7048.0 (winmain.090219-1845).
The Windows 7 Build 7048 x64 is leaked by DiamondNRG, the same people who also leaked Windows 7 Build 7022 x64 .

Again, similar with Windows 7 Build 7022 that is been leaked by the same person, the download is not an actual DVD ISO image in its entirety. Instead, it’s just a complete copy and rip of the installation files from the DVD.
To install Windows 7 Build 7048 x64, the easiest way currently is to in-place upgrade the existing installation of 64-bit Windows Vista or Windows 7. 32-bit (x86) users will be out-of-luck though, as the 64-bit setup.exe cannot be used on the 32-bit environment.
The same Windows 7 product key that given out by Microsoft for the beta can be used to activate Windows 7 built 7048.
Many changes has been made in Windows 7 Build 7048, including “Send Feedback” on title bar removed, correction of “Windows 7 Business” as “Windows 7 Professional” during installation, Paint icon changed, Calculator icon changed, Sticky Notes icon changed, version upgrade on Windows Media Center, Alt+Tab works with Aero Peek, 24-39% more icons available on taskbar before scrolling, Start button changed and some other additional features.

If you only have the installation files as opposed to a bootable CD, just create an NTFS partition on a USB stick, copy the files over to it and then from the command line navigate into the “boot” folder and run (where x is your USB stick’s drive letter):
bootsect /nt60 x:
You should now be able to boot from USB and install the OS.

eu gostei muito do win 7, tambem observei alguns problemas com os drivers do vista, alem de um bug q trava a maquina por causa de um erro num driver, provocando um erro na memoria deixando uma tela azul. mas estou ciente q o win7 ainda é beta. então era um pouco esperado.

This is a response for number 5.. no you can’t.. unfortunately you have to download this whole build and install it.. :S This is probably the only thing that sux about beta software.. Especially if it was an OS.

hey can someone tell me if its possible to update Windows 7 from within the OS. I don’t really want to have to download 3 more gigs to get a new build, especially with 2.9 gigs are unchanged. Can you update Windows 7 to 7048 like Windows Update?

Interessante, mas, um problema, ele ainda nao suporta completamente os drivers do Vista, bom, na versão 7000 BETA nao, minha Xfi Xtreme Audio que usa drivers modificados pelo DANIEL_K ficou com som pior que onboard, pois, nao usou o driver, e sim o do WIndows Update, bom, como sistema é excelente, mas, ainda tem problemas com jogos, o que faz ele ficar lento, mas, também é BETA, mas, nenhum programa da Microsoft e 100% perfeito ne…
