Easy Way to Add, Remove or Delete Send To Menu Shortcut in Windows

In Windows operating system such as Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2008, Windows XP and more, there is a nice right click context menu option call “Send To” which allows user to “send” (aka copy and paste) selected files and folders to another destination, folder or program directly, without having to open the target folder or application manually.

To order to manage the Send To menu items that contained inside the “Send To” menu, user normally navigate to the “SendTo” folder in order to add, remove or delete the shortcut items, which is normally located at %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo (C:\Users\user name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo) folder.

There is an easier way to to navigate to the SendTo folder in order to add or remove any items to the regular “Send To” menu. To open up SendTo folder directly, just type shell:sendto into Start Search or Run command. The SendTo folder will be opened in a Windows Explorer window to allow users to customize the items to appear on “Send To” menu by drag and drop or copy and paste shortcuts to the folder.

In Windows, most personal user folders have been added as hidden Send To item, which can be revealed by pressing Shift key while right clicking.
