Windows 7 Beta Free Official Download Available Till Feb 12
For those who haven’t download Windows 7 Beta Build 7000 ISO image, February 12th will be the last day anybody able to download the Windows 7 Beta ISO file from official Microsoft server. Initially, the unlimited downloads with free beta product key for Windows 7 ISO has been opened till January 24th, 2009, but has been extended till February 10th, and all download must completed by February 12th, 2009.
According to Windows Team blog, shutdown of general availability for the Windows 7 Beta will occur in 3 phases over the course of the next few weeks:
- Starting January 27th, the Windows 7 page will be updated with a warning that time is running out on downloading the Windows 7 Beta and that we will be limiting downloads shortly. People will be encouraged to register and start the download of the Windows 7 Beta sooner rather than later.
- February 10th, new downloads of the Windows 7 Beta will no longer be available. People who have already started their Windows 7 Beta download and have not yet finished will still be able to finish their download and are encouraged to do so.
- February 12th, people will no longer be able to complete their download of the Windows 7 Beta. Anyone who hasn’t finished downloading the Windows 7 Beta will be unable to do so.
The ending of Windows 7 Beta download to general public is not applied to TechNet and MSDN subscribers. And Microsoft seems to already dump the idea of giving out only 2.5 millions keys to activate Windows 7 Beta, and thus the activation product keys for the Windows 7 Beta will continue to be available even after download availability ended on February 12th.
However, with a genuine product key to activate Windows 7 Beta continue to be available, there are always mean, in fact, better way to download Windows 7 Beta ISO image, via BitTorrent file-swapping network with torrent for 32-bit Windows 7 Beta and torrent for 64-bit Windows 7 Beta.

Direct download link is broken.
I downloaded 1.7 out of 2.4 and then it failed to continue. Very sad.

its not 9,1GB, but 2,44GB for x86 ISO

How in the world am I going to get this whole 9.1 GB OS download using Dial up 56k ?
Today is January 31st, 2009 . I am starting to dl it.
Download one hour is 10 mb . so 24 hours time 12 days does equal 2.8 GB . Not 9.1 gb
