Download Windows Live Essentials (Messenger) Version 2009 (Build 14.0.8050.1202) for Windows 7

A new version of Windows Live program suite have been released. The new version 2009 of Windows Live collection of services and applications suite is now called Windows Live Essentials. The new version is still a beta refresh, but has been labeled as Windows Live Essentials version 2009 with build number 14.0.8050.1202.

Windows Live Essentials consists of the Cloud of many application programs that has been ripped off from default components of Windows operating system. In Windows 7, Windows Live Messenger, Mail, Photo Gallery, Movie Maker, Write, Toolbar of Family Safety no longer been installed by default. For users who want to use the features, the programs have to be downloaded exclusively via Windows Live Essentials.

Windows Live Essentials package includes the following applications:

Windows Live Messenger
Windows Live Mail
Windows Photo Gallery
Windows Live Toolbar
Windows Live Writer
Family Safety
Microsoft Office Outlook Connector
Microsoft Office Live Add-in
Windows Movie Maker Beta
Microsoft Silverlight
and other supporting or dependencies programs.

Windows Live Essentials version 2009 can be downloaded via its official homepage at download.live.com. However, user can only download a tiny setup loader wlsetup-web.exe which will subsequently download the full installation files for application chosen to install.

Again, similar to previous wave 3 beta of Windows Live suite, Microsoft does not provide standalone individual setup installer for each application, however, the setup file for them can be retrieved from sub-folders inside \Program Files\Common Files\Windows Live\.cache\ folder after installation completed successfully. As a convenient, MDL uploads the standalone Windows Live Messenger 2009 for direct downloading. However, it may need other component to work properly.
