What happens if I don’t want to sort by name? What happens if I want to keep my bookmarks in a order of priority for me? I’m so sick of the bookmarks reorganizing themselves into alphabetical order. Then I have to reorganize them all. What a hassle.

there is no need to right-click on empty space, to sort via Name. You can right-click on a folder itself to sort by Name. I’s wondering why they are not implementing automatically sort by name in IE/FF.
Might be sometimes in future.

As an alternative you can use Advanced URL Catalog, a which you can use it to import bookmarks from IE and Firefox, clean them up(remove duplicates & dead links) and then export to the browsers automatically sorted.

This also works on the Start Menu/Programs and the folders under Programs in XP.
