hey, i just want to unlock my ipod so i can get free apps and more of them, and the change the menu background. I have tried a different software called ‘Ziphone’ that completely ruined my Ipod touch 2 Generation. Do you have the software that i can download that can unlock my Ipod touch v2?

can i jailbreak my iPhone 3g 2.2 without unlocking it?
I just want more apps and want to be able to restore it to factory settings, just in case i need to send it in to Apple. But i Dont want to unlock it to another carrier; is this possible with this method?
