Shoe Throwing Games Mushroomed After Bush Incident
The recent shoe-throwing at U.S. president, George W. Bush, at an Iraqi news conference has became hot talk worldwide especially in Arabian countries. The journalist who threw the shoes, Muntazer al-Zaidi, has become an instant sensation in the Arab world. He was hailed by many Iraqis as a national hero but at the same time blasted by the government and others as a barbarian. Political bickering aside, this “unprecedented” incident has inspired a spate of internet games where the gamers throw shoes at the moving target of President George W. Bush.
One of the popular shoes-throwing games is “Sock and Awe“. As highlighted in the site, the objective is: “Hit President Bush in the face with your shoes! Do it”. Gamers are given 30 seconds to hit Bush with footwear as many times as they can. Once they have hit Bush, the president’s face will turn purple and look very funny. Players also can notice the Iraqi Prime Minister, Nuri al-Maliki, hiding at a corner and peeping in on the incident. The number of hits on Bush’s face will be recorded and the site will update the total score.
Another similar game is bushbash.flashgressive.de. This site uses the same background where the shoes incident happened. Gamers will throw shoes to the moving target and the score will be recorded as well. Besides the above said, gamers also can find the similar games at Bushgame, kast_sko and Bushoes.
Millions of shoes have since hit the President after the games were launched.

As I review all the Shoe Throwing Games, I noticed that some games came out very quick and gained viral popularity and they are cute and fun, but, the visitor gets what the creators puts into it.
