Google Mobile App for iPhone with Voice Search and My Location Free Download at AppStore
Google has released a new version of Google Mobile iPhone application. One of the main feature and talking point of the Google Mobile App for iPhone is voice search feature, which utilizes voice recognition technology to enable speak-to-search capability on Google search engine.
The Google Mobile App for iPhone is available as free download from App Store. By default, the Voice Search feature is disable after installation. To enable Voice Search, go to the Settings tab (other tabs or categories are Search and Apps for reorder Google applications). Then users go to Search tab and tap the little microphone icon on the top right corner in order to start searching the web by saying the keywords or search terms after a beep.
Best of all, the Google Mobile App for iPhone also incorporates Search with My Location which automatically targets search results based on user’s current location. My Location uses the Cell-ID technology that also been implemented on Google Maps to identify approximate location. To use My Location feature, Location Services must be enabled on iPhone and user has to opt-in to let Google Mobile App to detect and use the location.

I’m a little confused. Does this app apply to maps or to Google search. Also, I would love to have a map/GPS app that talks directions. It’s a bit of a pain to try and read the iphone while I’m driving…
