Apple TV Update 2.3 Adds Several New Features
Apple has released an update for its Apple TV digital media receiver which brings the firmware up to version 2.3. The patch is downloadable through the media hub’s built in updater. These latest firmwares consist of four main improvements. The main feature is ability to stream music from the media device to either other Apple TV units or Airport Express Speakers.

Another feature is ability to use third-party remote controls with Apple TV. However, the official remote still can be used. Others features of latest released include the option for playlists in iTunes that contain Movies, TV Shows, Podcasts and Music Videos, and supports for music control in volume.
