Apple Releases Latest iPhone 2.2 Software Update
In addition to new iTunes 8.0.2 update, Apple also released the highly-anticipated iPhone 2.2 software update, currently available for download through Apple iTunes, containing enhancements to Google Maps, enhancements to Mail as well as several impressive features and improvements.
New Features And Enhancements Of Latest iPhone 2.2 Firmware Update:
- Google Street View
- Public transit and walking directions
- Display address of dropped pins
- Share location via email
- Decrease in call setup failures and dropped calls
- Resolved isolated issues with scheduled fetching of email
- Improved formatting of wide HTML email
- Podcasts are now available for download in iTunes application (over Wi-Fi and cellular network)
- Improved stability and performance of Safari

I am glad that apple is continuing to update the firmware, but can they get some priorities straight? Like better integration with exchange calendar invites and some copy paste. I would love to replace my blackberry with an IPhone at work, but these basics need to be provided. Sure Street view is nice, but all its going to do is help me find the soup line if I lose my job because I missed a calendar invite.
