Put some spaces in the command! It works for me on Home Premium. In case the formatting of this comment is as screwy as the article’s, put a space after rundll32 and another space after dwmapi. As the article says, make one icon for 102 and another for 104. I didn’t use quotation marks, so on the New-Shortcut-(type the Location…) screen just paste
Rundll32 dwmApi #104

Tried it. Doesn’t work. Too bad. Although it is not important. Probably would turn Aero off after two or three days anyway.

It just sucks to have an ‘ok’ laptop but according to MS it is not fast enough for Aero.
Btw: I have a Dell D610 with a Intel 915GM/GMS,910GML videocard. If you have the same hardware and did get to work, I would love to know how you did it.
